Yoga can do a lot of things, but what can yoga teachers ethically, and scientifically, say about it? Here are some actual pointed questions I've received over the years, and the best way to respond in this lecture/discussion with yoga students. Some questions we discuss are

"Will yoga make my daughter taller?"
"Will yoga make me lose weight?"
"Will yoga cure my back pain?"
"Can yoga help me avoid osteoporosis?"
"When should I change my yoga practice if I'm pregnant?"
"Can I do yoga during menstruation?"
